Showplace taps managers

HIGH POINT — Showplace has promoted a member of its administrative staff and hired a former High Point city councilman as leasing managers of the downtown showroom building.

New leasing managers Dian Brigman and Ron Moore are replacing the husband-and-wife team of Russell and Babs Blair, who left last fall to work for the proposed World Market Center in Las Vegas.

Brigman was a Realtor in the High Point area for many years before she joined the Showplace staff in 1999.

Moore was a High Point city councilman and chairman of the council's finance committee until he resigned Dec. 31. He told the High Point Enterprise that he stepped down because of the demands on his time from his pending Showtime post. Earlier, Moore was a marketing executive at Thomas Built Buses, a High Point-based manufacturer of school buses.
