Attendees warm up to Showtime

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, January 13, 2002

Showtime Winter 2002 had a number of festive social events that drew large crowds and contributed to the overall good mood of exhibitors and buyers.

On Sunday, a full menu of martinis set an elegant 1940s tone at a party to mark the revival of the Orinoka line. Some martinis were potable, and some were potato, with the mashed potato martini bar that filled all comfort-food cravings.

On Monday, Chris Stone celebrated its extension of the vision of its founder, the late Chris Stone.

Later that same evening, Showtime sponsors kicked off the market at a opening night reception at the String & Splinter.

Later Valdese Weavers hosted its traditional casual party at Triangle Billiards with face masks and feather boas for guests.
