Vecchione, Seidscher to receive Platinum Pass

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Mart has awarded Lifetime Platinum Passes to Vic Vecchione of Trend Manor and attorney Seymour Seidscher. The ceremony was held at at the San Francisco Mart's Tenant Market luncheon.
Vecchione has been at the San Francisco Mart for 55 years. After World War II, Vecchione and a partner began manufacturing modern occasional furniture by hand. In 1949, he bought out his partner and moved the renamed Trend Manor Furniture to a new Los Angeles factory.
In 1997, the California Furniture Manufacturers Assn. named Trend Manor Manufacturer of the Year. The company now occupies a 75,000-square-foot facility in Industry, Calif.
Attorney Seymour Seidscher has been a Mart tenant for 50 years, during which he made an evolution from furniture sales representative to showroom tenant to attorney at law representing the furniture industry.
Seidscher first came to the Mart as a sales rep for Sanford Furniture in 1949. Later, he joined Ed Rosensteil to lease their own showroom that featured Hiatt, Butler and Kosuga furniture lines. In 1972, he went to law school at night and joined the California Bar in 1978.
Today, Seidscher represents a variety of home furnishings manufacturers, salespeople and retailers. He also serves the County of San Francisco as Judge Pro Tem.
