Hickory, N.C. — Cherry Whitener has been named to the new position of vice president of fashion merchandising at upholstery maker Clayton Marcus.
She will retain her responsibilities as senior fashion coordinator. Before joining Clayton Marcus, she was a designer and stylist of upholstered fabrics for Valdese Weavers, a sales representative for Mastercraft, and fashion coordinator for the upholstery division of Pennsylvania House.
"We're happy to recognize Cherry's continuous contributions to the fashion side of our business with this promotion, and plan for her to help us establish and execute much of the merchandising direction for our company going forward," said Clayton Marcus President Ken Church.
