Birmingham, Ala. — Casual and contract furniture producer WinsLoew has hired Bruce Albertson, a longtime GE Appliances executive and most recently president of Iomega Corp., as president and chief executive officer to succeed Bobby Tesney, who will retire.
Tesney will remain vice chairman of WinsLoew and will work with Albertson during a transition period this year.
"Bobby Tesney has done a fine job of positioning WinsLoew as one of America's leading furniture companies, with a portfolio of casual furniture brands second to none," said Earl Powell, the company's chairman.
Albertson was with GE Appliances from 1976 to 2001, leaving as vice president of global marketing and product management. Iomega is a producer of computer data storage hardware and software.
