Executives

Kincaid Furniture

HUDSON, N.C. — Kincaid Furniture has promoted two employees.

Reggie Propst has been named vice president of operations, responsible for manufacturing, human resources, purchasing, engineering, environmental safety and quality assurance. He replaces William R. Johnson, who has been promoted to senior vice president of manufacturing for the La-Z-Boy case goods group.

Boyd C. Wilson Jr. has been named vice president of finance and administration. The 17-year Kincaid veteran was controller.

L.A. Mart

LOS ANGELES —Paul C. Watson has been named vice president and assistant general manager of the L.A. Mart.

Watson, who most recently helped develop a design center in Florida, previously worked at the L.A. Mart for 10 years, becoming senior vice president of leasing.

In his new post, he will oversee the marketing, operations and accounting departments, reporting to Gerry Seibel, vice president and general manager of the mart.

Holland & Holland

LENOIR, N.C. —Edward Terry has joined marketing communications agency Holland & Holland here as a copywriter/public relations specialist.

He was assistant sports editor at the Hickory (N.C.) Daily Record, and before that a business and government reporter for The Tennessean in Nashville.

CITY OF COMMERCE, Calif. — The Assn. of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers has installed its 2002 officers and board of directors.

Tom Orlando of CTD Machines will serve as president. Barry Howerton of Leggett & Platt is vice president, and Skip Hem of Royal Plywood is secretary/treasurer. Each will serve a two-year term. Linda Buckner of Robert Allen/Ametex is immediate past president.

Newly elected board members serving three-year terms are Richard Crouch, California Woodworking Machinery; Wade Gregory, Sierrapine; and Larry Hilchie, GreConDimter.

Michael Lenvin of Michael Lenvin & Associates is liaison to the West Coast Furniture Fabric Club, and Jon Sanchez of Hanes Inds. is liaison to the Young Furniture Associates.

YFA

CITY OF COMMERCE, Calif. — The Young Furniture Associates, a chapter of the Assn. of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers, has installed its 2002 officers and board members.

George Ayotte of Kemp Hardware is the new president. Other officers are Carla Cornish of Carla Cornish Sales, vice president; Juan Morales of Contract Resources, treasurer; and Gene Valcke of Hanes Inds., secretary. Shannon Millard of Showcase Fabrics is the immediate past president.

Serving one-year terms on the board are Lisa Csutak, Freeman Decorating; Gabrielle Gallardo, Elite Leather; Al Gonzales, Hanes Inds.; and Tammy Rupp, U.S. Futaba. AWFS board liaison to YFA is Jon Sanchez of Hanes Inds.

PONATAUCK, Miss. Gary Lackey and Bruce Lackey have been named exclusive representatives for American Furniture.

AICO

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. — Four sales representatives have been appointed at AICO.

New Orleans-based Natalie Smith will cover Louisiana. David Bakonyi of Vancouver will handle British Columbia and Alberta.

Brad Ford, based in Kernersville, N.C., will cover eastern North Carolina. Bob Wilkinson, also of Kernersville, will handle western North Carolina and South Carolina.

Spring Air Birmingham

DES PLAINES, Ill. — Spring Air's Birmingham plant has appointed three sales representatives.

Scott D. Holt will cover central and western Tennessee. He previously worked for Keller Furniture for 12 years.

Bob McDaniel is responsible for south Georgia. He most recently was a key account rep for Simmons in Atlanta. He also has repped for Sealy and Restonic.

Phil Griffin will handle the Atlanta area. He was key account rep for Simmons in Atlanta, responsible for the Rhodes account. He also has worked for Sealy in Atlanta and Denver.
