McKee leaves Home Co. for Henredon; McDonough takes over as Home's CEO

Dallas — Longtime retailer Steve McKee has left the three-store Home Co. here to join Henredon as executive vice president of sales and marketing, a new position at the high-end manufacturer.
He reports to Mike Dugan, Henredon president.
"I can't tell you how pleased I am that he is coming on board," Dugan said. "He will make a big difference, especially with his retail point of view."
McKee had been with the Home Co. since its inception in 1998 and was its president. Previously, he was an executive with retailer Gabberts, heading the Minneapolis-based chain's Texas division.
At Home, Mike McDonough has been promoted to president and chief executive officer. McDonough joined the company in December as chief operating officer, and previously was with ABC Carpet & Home in New York. He continues to report to Marvin Traub, Home's chairman.
"It's a great opportunity for Steve and there is an orderly transition with Mike in place," said Traub. "Henredon is a major and important supplier for us."
