SDJ Trucking taps Wade
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, December 23, 2001
HIGH POINT — Joseph Wade has assumed the role of president at furniture carrier Shelba D. Johnson Trucking.
The company had been without a president since Shelba Johnson died in December 2000.
Wade, a certified public accountant with experience in manufacturing and retailing, has worked with SDJ Trucking for the last two years in various capacities. He is assuming the presidency by mutual agreement with A.L. "Red" Johnson, vice president and spouse of the late Shelba Johnson. Wade said Johnson is more comfortable remaining in his role.
"I have an understanding of both the manufacturing and retailing side of the business," said Wade. "The best thing I can bring to the table is that complete picture."
SDJ Trucking covers the Eastern Seaboard and as far west as Michigan in the north and Texas in the south.
