By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, December 2, 2001
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Canadian TV personality Kimberley Seldon will emcee the 2002 Trillium Awards banquet, set for Verdi's Banquet Hall here on Jan. 11, the eve of the Canadian Home Furnishings Market.
Seldon is the host of "Design for Living," seen on both the Life Network and the Canadian version of Home & Garden Television. She also is decorating editor of Style at Home magazine.
This is the first time the banquet will be emceed by someone from outside the industry. Traditionally, the master of ceremonies has been a prominent industry insider. In recent years, that has included Dennis Novosel, president of retailer Stoney Creek Furniture; Dan Weare, national business manager/furniture for Sears Canada; and Joe Carroll, publisher of Furniture/Today.
Organized by the Ontario Furniture Manufacturers Assn., the Trillium Awards recognize excellence in the production and marketing of Canadian-made household furniture.
Tickets for the evening, at C$99 each, can be obtained by contacting Kathryn MacGregor, general manager of OFMA, at (905) 677-6561 or by e-mail at ofma@idirect.com.
