DuPont debuts quality brand seal
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, December 2, 2001
WILMINGTON, Del. — As part of its move from fiber-based business units to a market-based, consumer-focused organization, DuPont has formed DuPont Apparel and Textile Sciences and developed a quality seal to bring all its branded ingredients under one umbrella.
The seal, designed to help brand DuPont furniture ingredients such as fabric, fiberfill and nylon, will be featured on hangtags, point-of-purchase materials and advertising promoting ingredient brands in the DuPont Products for the Home portfolio.
In a study, DuPont found that 68% of consumers would select a product featuring the seal over a product that doesn't.
In addition, 89% agreed that DuPont materials contribute to a better product.
