LOMBARD , Ill. —Robert Crewer of Aronson Furniture, Appliances and Electronics in Chicago has been named chairman of the board of the North American Retail Dealers Assn. He served three terms as president.

Also on the board is Timothy Seavey, Seavey's Furniture and Appliance, Windham, Maine. He was elected treasurer.

Ivins "Itchy" Popkin, Furniture Fair, Jacksonville, N.C., continues on the NARDA board.

AFMA Suppliers Division

HIGH POINT —Wayne Wickstrom has been awarded the 2001 Distinguished Service Award from the Suppliers Division of the American Furniture Manufacturers Assn.

Wickstrom worked for Leggett & Platt for 27 years and was one of its top executives when he retired in 1999. He has been active in several industry associations and has served on AFMA's Suppliers Division board of directors. Wickstrom was president of the American Furniture Hall of Fame.

He currently operates a La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries store in Springfield, Mo.

Carolina Mirror

HIGH POINT — Carolina Mirror, a maker of mirrored glass products and framed artwork under the Crown Fine Arts brand, has hired several sales representatives.

Linda Boydt is the new rep in Tennessee. She has 30 years experience in retail and previously owned Yellow Gables Warehouse Furniture.

Harold Suda will handle Kansas and Missouri. He has 17 years of furniture industry experience.

Covering Arkansas is Duane Cousins. He has been an independent rep since 1990. Previously, Cousins and his father owned an upholstery manufacturing company.
