Vitafoam names Lucas CEO

HIGH POINT — British Vita, parent of foam supplier Vitafoam, has named Bill Lucas president and chief executive officer of its North American Cellular Foam Products division.

He previously held a dual role as managing director of Caligen, a British Vita company that supplies automotive and specialty foam, and as global automotive executive for British Vita. He has been in the industry more than 30 years and has helped Vita expand its global business.

Lucas fills a position that had been vacant for several months. He is charged with spearheading growth in Vita's North American business through existing capabilities and acquisitions.
