Style Trend buying group adds 4 dealers, taps officers

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, December 2, 2001

Style Trend Furniture Group has added four member retailers and also has elected officers for 2002.

New members are D&D Home Furnishings, Whitehall, Pa.; Rosen's Furniture, East Stroudsburg, Pa.; Penn Furniture, Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.; and Ruby-Gordon, Rochester, N.Y.

This brings the buying group's membership to 17 companies operating 34 stores in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.

"The addition of these four stores will undoubtedly strengthen our capacity as a buying group and enhance all our members' positions in each of their respective marketing areas," said Charles Liebman, president of Style Trend. "By growing the membership in our group, we are able to augment our buying power, as well as gain the advantage of our new members' insights and ideas on the industry."

The group distributes more than 30 million color circulars each year and advertises manufacturers including Lane Action, Berkline, Broyhill, Hickory Hill, Klaussner/Sealy, Lea, Legacy, Rowe, Samuel Lawrence, Thornwood and Vaughan.

In addition to Liebman, officers for 2002 are Walter Beck, first vice president; Frank Gerardi, second vice president; and Greg Gaglianone, treasurer.

Information on the group is available from Liebman at (717) 761-4550 or Nancy Liebert, advertising administrator, at (215) 542-9254.
