AMITYVILLE, N.Y. — High-end manufacturer Excelsior Designs has named retail veteran Paul Greenbaum vice president of sales and marketing, a new position.
The son of Harold Greenbaum, former president of Wayside Furniture in Milford, Conn., Paul Greenbaum spent much of his career in the family business and has been in retail more than 20 years. In 1998, Wayside was sold to Breuners, where Paul Greenbaum was a divisional vice president.
Excelsior President Steven Kayne said Greenbaum's "experience with both single-store and multi-store operations gives us insight into the challenges and needs of our retailers."
Greenbaum will direct the national sales force and create sales strategies and programs for Excelsior and its Casa Novalia division, which specializes in mixed media.
"Over the past year and a half, we have laid the groundwork for tremendous growth," said Kayne.
Greenbaum, active in the National Home Furnishings Assn., will resign his positions as he moves to the manufacturing side. He said he will remain an active supporter because Excelsior is an NHFA sponsor.
