McDonough joins Home Co.

DALLAS — DALLAS — Mike McDonough has joined three-store specialty home furnishings retailer The Home Co. in the new post of chief operating officer.

He was chief operating officer at retailer ABC Carpet & Home in New York, and earlier was a senior merchandising executive with May Department Stores.

At Home Co., McDonough reports to Chairman Marvin Traub, and will be based here.

The retailer has stores in San Marcos, Texas, Hagerstown, Md., and metro Atlanta. Plans call for a store in Chicago in May 2002, and one in Denver in November 2002.

No successor has been named at ABC Carpet & Home.
