AFMA taps Pulaski's Bill Perdue

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 18, 2001

HIGH POINT — Bill Perdue, a Pulaski Furniture executive for the past 11 years, has joined the American Furniture Manufacturers Assn. as director of environmental and technical services.

He assumes duties previously held by Andy Counts, who will become AFMA executive vice president in January when Doug Brackett retires.

Perdue was director of environment, safety and health at Pulaski and has worked in the industry for 16 years. At AFMA, he addresses environmental and product safety issues, including those related to American Standards and Testing Methods, Underwriters Laboratory and flammability.

At Pulaski, Janet Murphy has been promoted to director of environment, safety and health.
