GNYHFA to present 2001 awards

NEW YORK — Sal Alamia, founder of American Furniture in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Fash-n-Home Furniture Distributors of Farmingdale, N.Y., will receive the Jerry Gans Memorial Award for 2001.
Bert Borok, Michael Fasciglione, Paul Horowitz, and Albert Mitrani will accept the award on behalf of Fash-n-Home Distributors.
The Gans Award is presented annually by the Greater New York Home Furnishings Assn. in recognition of a person "who has distinguished himself/herself with deeds and service in our industry."
In addition, GNYHFA will present posthumously the David Druckman Lifetime Achievement Award to Louis and Ruth Euster, founders of the Yellow Barn, Armonk, N.Y. The Eusters' daughters, Sona Euster and Tony Euster Dwyer, will accept the award.
The awards will be presented at the annual GNYHFA dinner dance Nov. 17 at Terrace on the Park in Queens, N.Y. Tickets for the event are $140. For information contact Barbara Goldstein at (212) 725-0091.
