HFPA honors Tomchin of Macy's and Maffei-Toolan of Waverly

Julian Tomchin, senior vice president of special merchandising projects for Macy's West in San Francisco, has been given the Paradigm Award by the Home Fashion Products Assn.

The award was presented in recognition of Tomchin's achievements over a career in both retailing and manufacturing, and most recently for his leadership in the Macy's West South Coast Plaza home store.

The award was presented by Michael Steinberg, retired chairman and chief executive officer of Macy's West.

At the same awards event here, Pamela Maffei-Toolan, director of design for Waverly Lifestyle Group, was presented with one of HFPA's annual Design Awards. Christiane Michaels, president of Waverly Lifestyle Group, made the presentation.
