Furniture retailer Ikea donates $48 million to India
Becomes largest corporate backer of UNICEF

UNITED NATIONS - Ikea plans to donate $48 million to UNICEF to help poor children in India, according to an MSNBC report.
The donation will support programs aimed at improving the health and survival of women and children. It makes the retailer the biggest corporate partner of UNICEF, with total commitments of more than $180 million, the United Nations agency said in a statement.
