Oriental Weavers of America

DALTON, Ga. — Rug resource Oriental Weavers of America has named Brian VanderWerf regional vice president for the Northeast.

He previously was vice president of national accounts for Beaulieu residential, where he was responsible for the sales and marketing aspects of Sears and buying group accounts. Earlier, VanderWerf was Midwest regional manager.

Hitchcock Home Furnishings

NEW HARTFORD, Conn. —Daniel C. Lowe has been named lean activities manager at manufacturer-retailer Hitchcock Fine Home Furnishings' corporate office here.

He served for six years in a comparable post at VDO Control Systems. He is a veteran in the field of statistical and mechanical engineering.

In his new position, Lowe will maximize the efficiency of processes and protocols at the company's factories and stores.

Display Technologies

COLLEGE POINT , N.Y. —Barbara Walters-Zwang has been promoted to vice president, human resources at Display Technologies.

She has been the director of human resources for the past three years.

In her new post, she will continue to oversee employee benefits and compensation, personnel recruiting, management training and employee relations. Walters-Zwang also will be responsible for human resources services for the company's two subsidiaries.

Master Design

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — Industry veteran Tom Parker has retired as East Coast sales manager for Master Design.

He had been with the company for six years, and before that held credit manager and sales management posts with Broyhill, Johnston-Tombigbee and Lea Inds.
