Worldwide Logistics appoints Burton

Valdese, N.C. — Valdese, N.C.— Furniture industry veteran Brent Burton has joined Worldwide Logistics as director of business development/national accounts.
Burton had been vice president of business development with Salem Logistics since 2007, and earlier spent nine years in various posts at the American Home Furnishings Alliance.
In his new position at Worldwide Logistics, he reports to Rowland Branham, vice president of sales. Burton will be based in Valdese.
Worldwide Logistics was formed last year with the merger of six specialized furniture carriers — Four Truckers of Morganton, N.C.; Furniture Transportation Systems of Pomona, Calif.; Milwaukee Delivery Service of Jefferson, Wis.; Palmer Transport of Ontario, Calif.; Rudisill Transportation of Hickory, N.C.; and Warren Trucking of Martinsville, Va.
