Century promotes Reed
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 25, 2001
HICKORY, N.C. — Laurie Reed has been named director of fashion for Century, succeeding Michael Delgaudio.
Formerly a showroom designer for the manufacturer, Reed was responsible for the redesign of Century's Chicago showroom and the opening of its newest showroom in Washington. She previously worked with Henredon and Beacon Hill.
Reed assumes responsibilities formerly held by Delgaudio, who was Century's vice president and creative director for six years. Delgaudio left the company after the October market to join 14-store Hickory, N.C.-based retailer Boyles Distinctive Furniture and Norris Furniture and Interiors.
Reed reports to Bill Hayes, senior vice president of home furnishings at Century.
