By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 25, 2001
HIGH POINT — Industry veteran Randy Chrisley has joined case goods importer Universal Furniture as senior vice president of sales and marketing, a new position.
In related moves, Universal also has promoted Joe Keveryn to vice president and national sales manager and Virginia Bremer to vice president of marketing.
Chrisley had worked for 30 years at manufacturer and importer Pulaski, where he was senior vice president of sales and marketing before leaving the company in May. At Universal, he reports to President Harvey Dondero.
"We are aggressively expanding our product lines and retailer services. Our new business model, aggressive expansion plans, and recent management additions are laying the groundwork to make Universal the most exciting home furnishings company in the industry," Dondero said.
"I believe that Universal is positioned to significantly grow its market share in all segments of our industry, and I look forward to being a member of the team that will make this success a reality," Chrisley said.
In his new position, Keveryn will manage the sales force. He has been with Universal for 10 years in various sales management capacities.
Bremer will assume the marketing responsibilities for Universal in addition to her role as vice president for the Alexander Julian At Home brand. Bremer joined Universal in November 2000, and was previously vice president of marketing for LaBarge.
Keveryn and Bremer, as well as Christopher Kelly, vice president of sales service, will report to Chrisley.
