Improved Sligh site includes 360-degree views

HOLLAND, Mich. — Home office and clock producer Sligh Furniture has enhanced its Web site with a variety of new features, including product videos.
The changes are designed to give consumers the in-depth information they need to make informed buying decisions through Sligh's authorized dealers, according to the company.
Features include 360-degree views that illustrate product styles, finishes and functions. The photos can be enlarged for close-up views. CAD drawings with internal product dimensions also are available to enable consumers to evaluate the space needed for printers, fax machines, scanners and other electronic equipment.
In addition, the site now features the "s-files," an online magazine offering product news, buying tips, style trends, consumer surveys and a direct e-mail link to Sligh's chief executive officer, Rob Sligh. The inaugural issue includes advice from a professional interior designer on what to look for in home office furniture.
The s-files also offer consumers the chance to hear a variety of chimes available in the company's clock line.
"We're using the Web site and the s-files to help build a stronger rapport with our customers," said Sligh. "We also want to invite people who haven't bought our products to learn more about us. Our goal is to help people feel more confident when they shop for home furnishings."
Sligh's new site also offers an extensive search function, allowing consumers to find information by furniture dealer, product category or clock service center. Consumers also can e-mail friends examples of Sligh products, select "view similar" products like those onscreen and request literature online.
