Memorial service for Glen set on Dec. 7 in New York
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 25, 2001
NEW YORK — Friends of Peter Glen plan a memorial gathering here Dec. 7 for the retail critic, author and motivational speaker, who died at his California home Oct. 3.
Slides and videos will be shown, tributes will be offered, and memories will be shared. Glen spoke many times to home furnishings industry audiences.
The event is set for 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at 41 Madison Ave., at 26th Street, in New York. Formal remarks will begin at 5:30 p.m. Because of security conditions in New York, attendees are asked to bring two pieces of photo identification, preferably one personal and one business.
Organizers ask that anyone planning to attend leave a brief phone message at (212) 529-0441 indicating the number in your party.
Memorial donations may be made to the C.A.R.E. Foundation, which benefits the public school system in Cloverdale, Calif., where Glen lived. Reference Peter Glen and send a check to P.O. Box 781, Cloverdale, Calif. 95425.
