By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, November 25, 2001
SAN FRANCISCO — SAN FRANCISCO — Dave Lane, longtime executive director of the Western Home Furnishings Assn., will be honored for his achievements and contributions with a benefit dinner here Jan. 19.
Proceeds will go to The Parkinson's Institute. Lane was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease early this year and will retire from the WHFA in January 2002. His successor is expected to be named in early December.
Called "An Evening to Remember," the benefit dinner event is sponsored in part by the WHFA, the California Furniture Manufacturers Assn. and the San Francisco Mart. WHFA is seeking additional contributors.
The black tie-optional dinner will be at the Mark Hopkins Inter-Continental Hotel here. Tickets are available through the WHFA office at $150 per seat or $1,000 for a table of eight.
For more information, or to reserve tickets or contribute, contact WHFA Events Director Cindi Williams at (800) 422-3778.
