MINNEAPOLIS — Best Buy, the electronics superstore chain, has recognized Bush Inds. as its Best of the Best Partner of the Year for furniture.
Bush supplies ready-to-assemble entertainment and office furniture to Best Buy's 350-plus stores and the bestbuy.com Internet site.
Part of the retailer's annual Bravo Awards, Best of the Best winners were selected for year-over-year revenue growth, gross margin return on inventory, share of sales within the category, shipping performance, cost control and return on investment.
Vendors also were recognized for speed and innovation, honesty and respect, business excellence and for "Turning on the Fun," a Best Buy marketing tagline.
"It is truly an honor to receive this award," said Paul Bush, chairman and chief executive officer of Bush, the second-largest U.S. producer of RTA furniture. "We look forward to an ongoing and mutually successful relationship."
Best Buy's annual sales top the $15 billion mark, including more than an estimated $100 million in furniture. The company has said it sees "significant potential" for the category.
In addition to Bush, Best Buy sells furniture from O'Sullivan, Office Star, Sauder, Studio RTA and True Seating.
