Emerald's Radcliffe retires
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, December 16, 2001
TACOMA, Wash. — David Radcliffe, a longtime executive with Emerald Home Furnishings, has retired from the bedding, case goods and home office resource to pursue personal interests.
Radcliffe, who was vice president of inside sales, spent 20 years with the company, from the days when it was so small that his duties included unloading trucks. He advanced through the ranks as the company grew, including the post of vice president of sales and marketing.
"We certainly wish David well," said Evan Ritchie, chief executive officer.
Emerald has no plans to fill Radcliffe's former position. His responsibilities will be divided among Paula O'Fallon, marketing director; Mark Piatt, vice president of sales; and Kelley Bushell, customer service manager.
