ATLANTA —Vicki R. Palmer and Fred L. Schuermann have been named to the board of directors of retailer Haverty Furniture.
Palmer is senior vice president, treasurer and special assistant to the chief executive officer of Coca-Cola Enterprises. She is a director of Spelman College, Rhodes College, Woodward Academy and First Tennessee National Corp.
Schuermann retired in April as president and CEO of Ladd Furniture, now a part of La-Z-Boy.

BOSTON —Duncan Gilkey, president of Boston Design Center, has been elected to a second term as president of Design Centers International, a non-profit trade association of 12 design centers in the United States and Canada.

DuPont
WILMINGTON, Del. — DuPont has named Dave Trerotola vice president of the global home and industrial textiles unit of its Apparel and Textile Sciences Business, replacing Bill Ghitis, who now heads the apparel unit.
The home and industrial textiles unit includes fibers for upholstered furniture and sleep products.
Trerotola previously was director of DuPont FluoroChemicals.
La-Z-Boy
MONROE, Mich. —Philip Davis has been named corporate vice president of human resources at La-Z-Boy.
He is responsible for designing and implementing human resource initiatives, and reports to Gerald L. Kiser, La-Z-Boy's chief executive officer.
Davis began his career with General Electric, holding a variety of human resource posts in both manufacturing and sales areas. After 16 years at GE, he became vice president of personnel and organization for E.J. Brach.
John Richard
GREENWOOD, Miss. —Peggy Hollifield has been named to the newly created position of national sales manager for Lexington Home Accessories for John Richard.
She will be responsible for all activities associated with the proprietary agreement between John Richard and Lexington Home Brands. She will report to Jim Becker, executive vice president of sales and marketing.
Hollifeld previously was an account manager for Lexington Furniture. Prior to that, she was a general sales manager for Don Lamore, and was in sales at Edgar B. Furniture, Boyles Furniture and Blackwelders Furniture.
