San Fran Mart sets hotel, travel specials for Jan.

SAN FRANCISCO — The San Francisco Mart is offering special hotel rates for all attendees at its Winter Market 2002, scheduled for Jan. 18-21.

Discounts on airfare and hotels can be obtained through the SFM's travel agency, R/A Performance Group, by calling (800) 472-4172. The deadline is Dec. 14.

Several hotels are offering travel promotion rates, with $109 rooms for qualified stocking dealers only. As an incentive and a perk for attending market, the Mart subsidizes rates at certain four-diamond downtown hotels. This year, the Mart has substantially increased the number of rooms available at this rate.

The $109 rate covers rooms at the Grand Hyatt Union Square, Westin St. Francis, Argent and Renaissance Parc 55. The promotion opens Oct. 15. Call (800) 879-MART to qualify.

Hotel rates for all market attendees start at $69 and go up from there. Hotels are located close to the San Francisco Mart or near Union Square, and include the following, along with the rate:

Air travelers to market can fly to either San Francisco or Oakland. All attendees are eligible for the lowest airfare available plus a 5% discount on United or Delta. Reservations at these special rates are available only through R/A Performance Group at the 800 number given above.
