GREENSBORO, N.C. — In response to growth, importer Legacy Classic Furniture here has added Don Turner to its management team in the new post of vice president of sales.
He has been national sales manager at leather upholstery producer LeatherTrend for the past three years. Prior to that he was Bernhardt's sales representative in Georgia and South Carolina for over 10 years.
Turner will manage Legacy's independent sales force and coordinate development of an information system for both the dealer base and the sales force.
He will work with Jerry Sagerdahl, Legacy's senior vice president of sales/national accounts and one the company's founding partners. Sagerdahl will focus on the continued development of key national and international accounts.
"Our business has grown so rapidly over the first two years that it became critical to add a key person to manage the independent sales force and coordinate communication to both our reps and dealers," said President Kevin O'Connor, also a founding executive of the company.
Legacy imports case goods from China, with warehousing in southern China and North Carolina. It offers mixed containers on a quick-ship schedule.
