DeSantis joins Natuzzi

HIGH POINT — Former Breuners executive Bob DeSantis has joined Natuzzi Americas as director of retail store acquisitions, a new position.
DeSantis will manage development of Natuzzi's North American store program, including all merchandise management, sales and marketing efforts, as part of the leather producer's move into dedicated stores.
He reports to Johne Albanese, Natuzzi America's executive vice president and chief marketing officer. "Bob is here to help us with distribution," Albanese said. "His primary role is to help us be better marketers to our retailers."
DeSantis previously served as vice president of merchandise at Top 100 furniture store chain Breuners Home Furnishings Corp. in Lancaster, Pa. Natuzzi officials said he helped Breuners increase gross margins and sales, and developed a delivery system that slashed inventories.
In addition, Melanie Wyrick and Christina Nelson have joined Natuzzi Americas as graphic designer and marketing administrator, respectively.
In her newly created post, Wyrick will establish an internal creative department and provide graphic support and marketing materials. She has been affiliated with brand marketing retail programs at Uniroyal, Wrangler, Hanes and Winston. Wyrick reports to Steve Bailey, director of marketing.
Nelson, who will assist in marketing efforts, previously served as a sales representative for Pinnacle and Powell.
