New At Market: Metal Beds

PRODUCT TRENDS

  • DAZZLING DAYBEDS: Thanks to their ability to be used in multiple room settings, daybeds are enjoying a revival at price points as high as $499.

  • DESIGN DIFFERENCES: Although traditional styling remains the most popular, contemporary and transitional styles are taking on greater importance in manufacturer's lineups.

AMISCO IHFC D524

The company, best known for its contemporary designs, is adding two beds with traditional styling at $399 and $699. Also adding a model in transitional styling.

COMFORT DESIGNS IHFC D729

Adding three beds to its contemporary lineup, including a metal sleigh bed at $599 and a platform bed with an upholstered headboard at $699 in queen. Also unveiling a metal bed at $999 in queen that features perforated headboard and footboard panels.

ELLIOTT'S DESIGNS IHFC M938

Unveiling a lineup of twin beds at $199 to $399. The new models feature seven new finishes aimed at the juvenile market. Also adding two adult beds to its Iron Art collection at $599 and $699 in queen.

FASHION BED GROUP IHFC C700

Emphasizing price points of $199 to $399 with a variety of daybeds, futons and wood bunk beds. The design of several of the new daybeds are patterned after successful adult beds.

HICKORY AT HOME 110 N. Wrenn St.

Adding two iron beds at $399 in queen. One model, Roman Scrolls, features a pewter finish, while the second, Arkham, has a matte black and gold finish.

LARGO CENTER THEATER 100

Introductions include four metal daybeds at $199 to $499, six adult metal beds at $399 to $599, and a wood daybed at $499. One of the adult beds is a brass-plated model at $399, and another model at $599 features pewter plating.

WESLEY ALLEN IHFC D1130

Introducing five adult iron beds and two twin-sized juvenile beds. Three of the new adult beds are forged iron models at $899 to $1,199 in queen, and a fourth model at $999 has transitional styling and detailed aluminum castings. Another model, Darlington, is a transitional iron canopy with return posts.
