BRUSSELS, Belgium — Red-orange, purple and deep brown were the most notable colors among the new fabric offerings at Decosit 2001.
Shine, from subtle effects to glossy, almost-liquid looks, was the most notable trend, closely followed by plaids — particularly those inspired by the current hot apparel looks such as Burberry plaids.

| Standing out from the crowd were organic greens, such as these rayon and polyester chenilles from Dicitex Décor, a 40-year-old Indian mill aiming for the U.S. market. |
