C&D to serve 'taste of the South'

HIGH POINT — Buyers at the upcoming International Home Furnishings Market here will be treated to "A Taste of the South" at the C&D Building's party on Friday, Oct. 19, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Regional delicacies such as iced tea, mint juleps, biscuits, North Carolina barbecue, Cajun jambalaya and shrimp grits will be served. The sounds of Dixieland jazz and Appalachian bluegrass will accompany demonstrations by a woodworker, a weaver and an artist.

The C&D Building is located at 201 W. Commerce Ave. at the corner of Commerce and Elm streets.
