WithIt plans series of October market events

High Point — Women in the Home Industries Today, or WithIt, will host several events during the October market.

The following events are open to members, prospective members and guests:

• Educational breakfast, Friday, Oct. 19, 7:30-9 a.m., Ballroom A of the International Home Furnishings Center's Green Wing, 11th floor, Club Level.   Trends forecaster Michelle Lamb will discuss color and design trends. Lamb is founder and chairman of Minneapolis-based Marketing Directions Inc., which specializes in product development support and provides trend direction and color specification for clients such as 3M, Day-Timers, Home Depot, Gerber Baby Products, Seagate Wallcoverings, Pergo and Levolor.

• Market social, Sunday, Oct. 21, 6-8 p.m. WithIt's board of directors will be the wait staff for a market social at the Furniture Discovery Center, 101 W. Green Drive. RSVP to WithIt by phone at (336) 884-1122 or by e-mail to questions@withit.org.

• Competitive intelligence/trends wrapup, Monday, Oct. 22, 6:30-8 p.m., in the Weco North American showroom in the 220 Elm St. building. Light refreshments will be served. Free, but donations are welcome. No RSVP required.

• Raffle. WithIt's board will be selling raffle tickets during market for $5 each, five for $20 or 12 for $40. Prizes include a $500 gift certificate to Storehouse Furniture, $800 worth of Adesso office furniture, and a limited-edition William Mangum print valued at $175.
