IFM joining parent Standard on 7th floor of IHFC's Main
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, October 7, 2001
High Point — International Furniture Marketing, the direct container division of case goods and occasional manufacturer and importer Standard Furniture, will join its parent on the seventh floor of the Main building of the International Home Furnishings Center.
For the October market, IFM will have 8,000 square feet in space M715, the former Athens space. The space is 3,000 square feet larger than IFM's previous showroom in the National Furniture Mart.
The move brings Standard's total showroom space in High Point to 42,000 square feet.
Don Mecke, vice president of sales and marketing for Standard, said, "We needed more room to show not only new products, but also existing groups. By having all our brands on one floor, we look to simplify the schedules of customers who buy IFM, Grand Designs and Standard's domestic line."
