British Century to introduce 'mini-gallery'
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, October 7, 2001
High Point — British Century Designs, a distributor of English antique reproduction case goods and accents, will unveil a new showroom and a "mini-gallery" program for retailers at the October market.
The company is relocating to a permanent space in the British Pavilion, space 2-219 at the new Plaza Suites on Main building.
The Fairfax, Va.- and London-based supplier will offer special discounts to qualified dealers on as few as three items from its Swift-Ship program of in-stock best-selling items.
Ilan Dahan, U.S. sales manager, put the mini-gallery program together to attract smaller dealers, who can get less-than-container orders at the same price as Top 100 accounts.
"We get over 15,000 hits on our Web site every month at www.BritishFurniture.com," he said. "However, many of the retailers that contact us say they just can't afford eight to 10 items at the moment. We created the mini- gallery with them in mind."
