Buying youth furniture is just a click away
Big retailers join specialists on 'Net

HIGH POINT — The online marketplace for youth furniture continues to explode, and some big name retailers have recently joined the fray alongside an abundance of specialty players.
Most recently, The Bombay Company launched its Bombay KIDS collection of children's furnishings available online and via mail-order catalog. Pottery Barn Kids recently branched out from its catalog business with its online presence, and the lifestyle retailer is also on track to open 28 brick-and-mortar stores by the end of the year.
By implementing a simple search using the keywords furniture and children's, any typical search engine will pull up a variety of Web sites that sell youth furniture online.
With the breadth of product available on the seemingly endless number of Web sites, a complete bedroom from cradle to crib to queen bed and everything in between can be ordered with a few clicks of the mouse and a credit card. Access to such a wide array of virtual storefronts also gives the consumer the ability to comparison shop for both price and style without ever leaving the comfort of home or being concerned about a store's location.
The Web sites shown on this page offer shipping for all of the featured products to anywhere in the 48 contiguous states, and a few, like Canadian-based www.mini-raine.com, also offer shipping to Alaska and Hawaii. PoshTots can ship most items to all U.S. states, AFO/FPO addresses, Puerto Rico and Canada. Shipping charges vary from site to site and are dependent on delivery address and order size.
In addition to beds, most children's online stores offer coordinating dressers, chests, bedside tables, desks and bookshelves. To round out the assortment of product, most of the furniture is shown with cute rugs, innovative decorative accessories and bedding sets to pull together the perfect room décor.
