Quaker hires its first CIO

FALL RIVER, Mass. — Norman Sturdevant has joined Quaker Fabric as vice president and chief information officer, a new position.
Sturdevant, who reports to Larry Liebenow, president and chief executive officer, will be responsible for accelerating Quaker's efforts to use advanced information technology tools to further its strategic, operating and financial objectives.
Sturdevant, who has more than 20 years of information systems management experience, most recently was vice president of information management and technology for Bausch & Lomb's European, Middle Eastern and African operations.
"Achieving an information technology advantage is a key component of our corporate strategy," Liebenow said. "Norman will immediately begin to work closely with all of our business units."
