LINDEN, N.J. — Sleepmaster, bedding major Serta's largest licensee, has named new presidents at two subsidiaries, Serta New York and Serta San Francisco.
Promoted to president and general manager in New York is Mike Reilly, while Stanley "Butch" Webster now holds the same post in San Francisco.
Reilly is a 30-year mattress industry veteran and has been with Serta New York since 1978. Most recently, he was senior vice president of sales and marketing.
"Mike has demonstrated that he is a highly effective motivator and an excellent strategist," said Kyle Boyle, president and chief operating officer of Sleepmaster. Reilly replaces James Koscica, who resigned last month.
Before his latest promotion, Webster had been with Serta Greensboro, another Sleepmaster subsidiary, since 1995. Most recently, he was vice president of sales and marketing. In his new post, he will oversee Sleepmaster's West Coast operations, including plants in Vacaville, Calif., Tacoma, Wash., and Honolulu.
"Butch has done an outstanding job in Greensboro," Boyle said. "We are confident Butch will increase the profitability and growth of our operations in the Bay Area, Pacific Northwest and Hawaii."
The Serta San Francisco post had been vacant for several months. It was last held by Larry McKay, who is now president of King Koil USA.
