CORINTH, Miss. — Production is expected to be under way early next year at a 350,000-square-foot facility under construction by promotional upholstery manufacturer Corinthian Furniture.
A company representative declined to comment on the expansion, but the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal said the new facility will make stationary upholstered furniture and produce new leather upholstery lines.
The facility is near Booneville, Miss. The company has agreed to employ 200 people in exchange for $1.24 million in state and federal economic incentive grants. The Daily Journal said the company will invest nearly $7 million.
The newspaper said the privately held company has an equity link with Top 100 retailer Rooms To Go. Corinthian opened in Booneville a decade ago, expanded to Corinth in 1993, and has about 650 employees.
