LENTATE, Italy — Italian upholstery manufacturer Chateau d'Ax has opened a leather production facility in Arad, Romania.
The 100,000-square-foot plant is Chateau d'Ax's first manufacturing site outside Italy. When fully operational, the plant will produce 5,000 seats per week.
Chateau d'Ax said it chose the Romanian location for its strong labor force and its proximity to Italy. The company said the facility will help satisfy growing consumer demands for its products.
