England opens first dedicated store in Missouri

ARNOLD, Mo. — England has opened its first stand-alone England Quality Home Furnishings store here.
Previously operating as Towne Sofa & Sleep Center, the 5,000-square-foot store is owned by John Saksa.
England, formerly England/Corsair, has opened more than 65 Custom Comfort Centers nationwide since the initiation of the store-within-a-store concept in November 1998. Another 15 units will be installed by year's end. Saksa's store represents the first stand-alone operation.
"We had looked at England's store-in-a-store concept but didn't have the space for it," Saksa said.
"The stand-alone store is perfect for us. We jumped at the chance to be the first dedicated store."
The England store features moderately priced upholstered and leather home furnishings, plus England's patented bedding line with Adjusta-Comfort inserts. Sales consist of entire room settings or individual pieces, all delivered through England's Continuous Supply Cycle.
