Austin Horn has Hemingway bedding textiles
By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, October 14, 2001
HIGH POINT — The Austin Horn Collection is introducing at market here four groups of home textiles bedding as part of the licensed Ernest Hemingway Collection.
The groups include comforters, duvets, bedskirts, decorative pillows and throws, all designed by Dian Austin to reflect the flavor of Hemingway's eclectic residences.
The Kenya group features a sunwashed jungle chenille, a basket-weave burlap and a tribal-bordered elephant tapestry evoking images of Africa.
For the Key West group, Austin chose a neutral palette complemented by jute cording hemp fringe and intertwined seashell trims.
Windemere recalls the great outdoors with faux suede, woven blanket patterns, buckskin fringe and silver-tooled Western medallions.
The Paris group presents a romantic blend of subtle Rue Royale woven damask, petite-striped silky jacquard and Coco chenille, all in variations of crème brule.
All ensembles complement the Thomasville bedroom suites that carry the author's name.
