Exim rolls out EDI software
By Brian Carroll -- Furniture Today, October 14, 2001
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Exim Technologies has rolled out a beta release of its XM Commerce software, an electronic data interchange program that aims to take costs out of document transfers, transactions and communications.
The XMC software suite translates transactions from any sending company's format into the recipient's system format. It accommodates XML, flat-file and other formats.
Companies don't have to change existing information systems, said Manoj Nigam, president and chief executive officer, and employees don't have to learn new processes.
He said XMC is in compliance with the Furniture Industry Data Exchange's emerging XML-based standards for purchase orders, acknowledgements, invoices and catalog updates.
"XMC breaks down the barriers that have prevented many retailers and manufacturers from taking advantage of the cost savings associated with electronic transactions processing," Nigam said.
XMC can be installed as a licensed application or the software can be hosted by Exim as an applications service provider.
Exim Technologies is an e-business software provider based here specializing in serving small- and medium-sized companies in the furniture and other industries.
