CARTHAGE, Mo. — Leggett & Platt's Coated Fabrics Division, which makes nonslip rug underlay, nonslip placemats and other consumer products, has acquired a 54,000-square-foot latex manufacturing facility in Erwin, Tenn.
The plant has been closed for over a year and formerly was used to make baby diapers. Leggett & Platt plans to start production within 90 days.
The three ovens in the facility will increase the division's manufacturing capacity by 25%, the company said.
