Delgaudio, Greenbaum join Boyles; Grant promoted

HICKORY, N.C. — HICKORY, N.C. — Michael Delgaudio and Gary Greenbaum are joining 14-store retailer Boyles Distinctive Furniture and Norris Furniture and Interiors, while Boyles executive Rick Grant has been promoted.
Delgaudio, who was vice president and creative director at manufacturer Century for six years, will hold the same post at Boyles starting in November.
Delgaudio has 18 years of merchandising and store display experience at Century, Beacon Hill and Henredon. He also previously worked for an Ohio retailer for 11 years. In his newly created post, Delgaudio is responsible for developing new style directions and implementing fashion trends and working with all facets of the Boyles and Norris business, especially merchandising and display.
Greenbaum, most recently senior vice president of sales and merchandising for manufacturer Sherrill, has joined Boyles as a merchandising consultant. He was an owner of Milford, Conn.-based retailer Wayside for 20 years until Breuners Home Furnishings Corp. acquired the chain in 1998. Greenbaum will work with the Boyles and Norris merchandising teams, fine-tuning assortments in upholstery, case goods and occasional.
Sherrill and Century both said they plan to fill the vacancies created by the departures.
Grant, who had been Boyles' vice president of operations, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer. He joined the company in 1992 after five years with retailer Robb & Stucky and 11 years at Montgomery Ward.
He continues to be responsible for all operations, as well as acquisitions and expansion.
All three executives report to Larry Hendricks, Boyles/Norris owner and president. The company operates 12 Boyles stores in North Carolina and two Norris units in Florida.
