By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, September 16, 2001
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio chapter of the National Home Furnishings Assn. will hear industry analyst Jerry Epperson at a meeting on Tuesday, Oct 2 at the Columbus Marriott North here.
Following a lunch meeting, Epperson will address such current topics as the economy, the lack of retail profitability, the banking situation and imports. He also will discuss what usually happens during an economic recovery.
Epperson, a managing director of Mann, Armistead & Epperson in Richmond, Va., believes this decade will be the furniture industry's best — if a store can survive the current downturn. Following his comments, Epperson will moderate a panel discussion.
