Katz gets Broyhill post

LENOIR, N.C. — Jeff Katz has joined full-line manufacturer and importer Broyhill Furniture Inds. as director of merchandising for domestic wood products.
He will supervise the product direction of Broyhill's U.S.-produced case goods and occasional furniture. Don Essenberg, vice president of case goods merchandising, will oversee the company's imported wood line.
Katz has extensive retail experience. Most recently, he was case goods buyer for HomeLife in Hoffman Estates, Ill. From 1995 to 2000, he was buyer and director of merchandising at Homemakers in Chicago.
He began his career at Levitz as a management trainee in 1980, and progressed through several management posts before becoming upholstery buyer.
